How the cover blocks dust mite allergens

The anti-dust mite is made from an exclusive 100% high-density cotton weave. Its pores are less than 5 microns, smaller than the finest dust mite allergens (approximately 10 microns). This keeps the mites trapped inside the mattress, while air and water vapor continue to circulate.

The cover completely the mattress. Its secure zipper and wide inner flap enhance protection against dust mite allergens.

The effectiveness of anti-dust mite is based on more than 20 years of expertise in the fight against dust mite allergens and on a quality system certified to ISO 13485:2016, the international reference standard for medical devices.

This approach is complemented by several scientific studies presented at international medical conferences. One of these studies, conducted according to the most demanding standards of clinical research (double-blind, placebo-controlled study), demonstrated a significant improvement in symptoms and quality of life in patients suffering from severe dust mite allergy who used ProtecSom covers. Easy setup

Mattresses are bulky, sometimes heavy, and difficult to handle. To facilitate cover installation, ProtecSom systematically includes a safety margin in length and width on all its mattress covers.

It is therefore normal for the cover received to appear larger than the dimensions ordered.This difference does not affect the effectiveness of the anti-dust mite.

An anticipated natural shrinkage

Cotton is a natural fiber that gradually shrinks with each wash. This phenomenon is well known and taken into account during the manufacturing process.

The Texaal® Cotton cover is intentionally made with a shrinkage margin adapted to the fabric used. Depending on the characteristics of the textile batch, this margin can represent from 1% to 6.5% of the final dimensions.

It is therefore normal for a new cover to appear larger than the mattress upon arrival. After a few washes, it will naturally reach its final dimensions.
