How to choose the right size ProtecSom anti-dust mite cover for your mattress?

Step 1: Measure your mattress

  1. Remove all bedding from your bed (pillow, duvet, etc.)
  2. Get yourself a meter stick
  3. Measure the length and then the width of your mattress to the ends (see diagram)
  4. Measure the height of your mattress. To do this, stand at one of the four corners, where it is thickest (see diagram)

Step 2: Choose your ProtecSom cover

For the length and width of your cover, choose the dimensions of your mattress.

For height, choose a cover that is greater than or equal to the height of your mattress (never less). For example, if your mattress is 17 cm high, opt for a 21 cm cover from the Noxaalon® range or a 22 cm cover from the Texaal® range.

Regardless of size, the effectiveness of our covers remains the same !

If your mattress cover seems a little too big, don't worry: it won't affect its protective effectiveness. It's actually better for it to be slightly loose rather than too tight, which could strain the seams. The important thing is that the mattress is completely covered to protect you from dust mite allergens.

Information – Texaal® Cotton: To account for the natural shrinkage of cotton, an extra margin is added during the manufacturing of anti-mites (1.5% to 6% depending on the fabric batch). Upon receipt, these covers will be larger than the ordered size; they will reach their final size after a few washes.
